I Won 24,344.75 GHS in National Lottery On April 3 And Still the NLA Has Not Paid Me Despite Their 2 Weeks Payment Window—CD Has A Response from NLA

CustomerDiscuss.Com was contacted by Nelson Ayeh Kweabena from Sunyani, a lucky National Lottery winner who scooped 24, 324.75 GHS in winning.

But according to Nelson, since April 3 when he registered his winning ticket, the National Lottery Authority has not still issued him with payment despite its policy of issuing payments to winners within 2 weeks of ticket registration.

Nelson in his complaint E-mail to CustomerDiscuss.Com wrote;

“I understand the mandatory period for payment of a winning ticket is two weeks. I staked and won the lottery on 3rd April 2017 and got the ticket registered at the regional offices of NLA in Sunyani. Till today payment has not been effected by NLA.

NLA do they know how it is to stake and lose?”

CustomerDiscuss.Com contacted the Deputy CEO of NLA-Mr Baafi who asked us to call back later—so we called the NLA’s head office and spoke to Judith, a customer service assistant.

According to Judith, NLA will issue Nelson’s payment—and in fact the cheques are ready to be distributed to the huge winners across the country, so Nelson will get his payment in the next few days.

Asked why Nelson’s winning has taken almost 2 months despite the NLA’s two weeks’ payment window, Judith said the NLA has been experiencing some difficulties which has led to the delay.

Judith wouldn’t tell CustomerDiscuss.Com the sort of difficulties the NLA has been experiencing but she assured us that lucky Nelson will get his money by next week Wednesday.

We hope Nelson will not stake more lotto with all his winning.

About CustomerDiscuss.Com:

Customer service in Ghana and most parts of Africa is the crappiest we’ve ever come across; as if Ghanaians or Africans use mango leaves to pay for services. The broadband never works, the electricity is never on, the water never flows—and the waitress can keep you waiting for your food until hunger kills your buds.

The real pain is, you have no alternative to turn to—because, like a gang of fools, they are all the same.

Almost every service and product delivering company in Africa has it butt in the faces of customers, farting uncontrollably because the customer cannot really do anything.  Mostly, if you quietly complain, they do nothing and if you are unlucky, they tell you to go f**k off.

Consumers have no voice, not even individual voices—let alone a collective one to force any sort of change.

So we’ve started this website-CustomerDiscuss.Com, supported by GhanaCelebrities.Com and other platforms, dedicated to corporate and public Africa, especially Ghana—-it’s time we shame some of these companies, tear down their lousy services, help them to lose customers and force them to do what’s right.

If you have a complaint about your telecom company, internet provider, a restaurant, your bank or even your church, shoot an email to us via; [email protected] or call/whatsapp 00447837576037.

When you go to a restaurant and you are served in a broken plate or on a dirty table, just take some photos and send them to us with the needed details.

Together, we can get these people to be accountable and importantly, do what’s expected of them.
