All it took for any pizza lover to want to pass by Pizza Hut for a quick grab was just a glimpse of their billboard for their grand opening, May last year.
And all that it took me was for my friend whose adventure is only limited to food to key in a word in my vacant brain taps and we were already making plans. That girl loves everything food, I wonder why she has not grown any fatter from the last time I saw her ( Sefanam Agbogbli, I am greeting you).
Truth be told, Pizza Hut left quite an unsavoury score with us the first time we passed by. Our order took longer than necessary but that was even overlooked since we had a lot of catching up to do so we used that to our advantage.
The pizza finally arrived and holy grief! The cheese was too much, the crust was soggy and the green bell pepper on it was overly cooked.
We certainly could not take that, not after paying that much because their pizza is relatively expensive as compared to other joints. Value for money is the policy so we prompted for it to be changed. ( see Read full details here).
Fast forward, though I had told myself I would not be making any future purchases, I found myself there in the subsequent months and their pineapple pizza is simply out of this world (you guys should try it out sometime).
My cravings got the best part of me yesterday so I decided to pass by Pizza Hut, Achimota Retail Center branch for a self-treat. I placed an order and the response from the guy I spoke to was all I needed for the rough morning I was already having. He spoke to me like he knew me from Adam and before I could finish with my rounds, my pizza was ready and being called to come pick it up.
I delayed for about two hours and the customer service gentleman was consistently patient with me. Went over for what is mine and their faces were beaming with smiles (Esther A and the other gentleman) The aura was convivial, attendants were welcoming and all was just appropriate.
I ordered for their latest addition to their menu too, the cheesy pops and a bite into one made me order for another on spot. The cheese melted right on my tongue, caressed my throat and danced its way into my tummy— what are you guys using for that, I need the recipe please.
As for my med pan feta veggies pizza, it is my new bundle of joy. I did not even know my tasty buds were this reactive. The crust is crispy, even after I had refrigerated it, the cheese thin enough and oh the vegetables, good heavens! If you are reading this, just pay Pizza hut a visit.
I loved the service rendered, this is what I can confidently call value for money. Everyone was apt and in a good element.
One thing though, there are no electrical sockets there, if management could see to that, it would perfect the square. Some of us walk with gadgets constantly begging to be charged.
