Eddy’s Pizza Again? | Another Dissatisfied Customer Shares How the Restaurant Ruined Her Night + their Poor Service Caused A Fight With Her Husband

It seems Eddy’s Pizza has gained some sort of customer notoriety when it comes long wait at their restaurants.

A few days ago, a customer shared the sort of appalling customer service she received at the Tema branch of Eddy’s Pizza—compounded with a 3 hour wait for her order to arrive. Following CustomerDiscuss.Com’s publication, one of the owners of the now popular pizza-chain in Ghana-Ed Quartey commented, saying, the 3 hour wait was regrettable but it was so because that particular day was a busy day—being Mother’s Day.

But another reader of CustomerDiscuss.Com has joined several others on social media to say, Ed Quartey is not being honest—and that, whether a busy day or not, Eddy’s Pizza has a bad reputation for long wait. And that, all the 4 times that she in particular has been to their place, it’s been a mess—waiting unreasonable for just a common pizza.

In fact, Dorothy says, “I don’t have a problem if they tell me I have to wait 1 1/2 hr for my pizza but not when you tell me 20 minutes and then it turns out to be 1 1/2 hr.”

Hi Chris,

I don’t think its only on holidays that u encounter that kind of problem as he portrays it. I think its their culture . I have been to the Tema branch of Eddy’s pizza 4 times and each time their service is worse than before.

The first time I went there, I was with my brother. they were still setting up the place. It was then at the Tema central mall. I remember how they were sooo nice n we even met the owner Eddy himself. They offered us free free drinks n 2 coupons for free pizza for a later date. Well, I took 1 and gave the other to my brother.

I later went there with my friend for the free pizza. Can u imagine it took about 1 1/2 hour to get our pizza even though there were not much people there. Well, it was free n we did not have much doing that day so we just while away time by taking pictures.

The second time, I went there with my husband (my boyfriend then) even though he was against us going there. We waited over 1 hr for pizza n our pizza never came , he got angry n we had to leave. In-fact they ruined my night that day and we had a quarrel over it. Especially as he was against us going there in the first place. Its been over 3 years now but anytime he hears of Eddy’s pizza he gets angry at me.

Well, the 3rd time my little sisters were having “our day” and all they wanted was pizza. This time round it took about 30 minutes to get my pizza.

The 4th time, they moved to their present location and one Saturday, I wanted to give my sisters a treat, and they wanted pizza. Surprising enough I took them to Eddy’s pizza again after all their bad services. Before we went my husband told me not to come back with any complaints.

But I thought because they moved to a new location, they had improved upon their services as well. We left there angry as we waited for our pizza for about 1 hr 15 mins. We didn’t even enjoy it when we finally had it . maybe, out of anger or simply the pizza didn’t taste good.

In fact, we have vowed never ever to go to Eddy’s pizza again and I don’t think we ever will. I don’t have a problem if they tell me I have to wait 1 1/2 hr for my pizza but not when you tell me 20 minutes and then it turns out to be 1 1/2 hr.
